Troy has been an artist for as long as he can remember. At times, he has been more creative than other times. After high school, he first attempted to go to art school, but dropped out when he ran out of money. So he then joined the military. After four years of active duty, he went back to college for art again. After about a year, he ran out of money again to pay for all the art supplies. Therefore, he thought he would just do art as a hobby for the rest of his life.
After earning a certificate from broadcasting school, he was activated to help out with Operation Iraqi Freedom. While in Iraq, he began doing more art in his spare time to keep himself busy and to take his mind off of the war. He left Iraq a few days after Christmas in 2004.
Since he has been back in the United States, he decided that he is going to devote more time to his love of the arts. In the past, he has dabbled in several different areas of art. Currently, he is starting to shift his focus mainly to the genres of large acrylic paintings.
